The main offices of the Daviess County Sheriff's Office are located in the Daviess County Courthouse in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. 

However, some specialized divisions and units may be located elsewhere. On this page you will find contact information and physical addresses to assist you in reaching our offices. 

The main administrative office, Patrol Division, and Tax Division, are located on the first floor of the Daviess County Courthouse. 

The Office of the Daviess County Sheriff, Chief Deputy, and Command Staff are located on the second floor of the Courthouse.

The Investigations Division is in the Schertzinger Building located at the corner of East Third and Allen Streets in downtown Owensboro. 

The Judicial Security Unit is in the Morton L. Holbrook Judicial Center located on East Second Street in downtown Owensboro 2 blocks east of the Courthouse. 

For walk-in appointments, police reports, civil process service, tax payments, CCDW permits, vehicle inspections, and other business, please visit our customer service counter located in the main administrative office on the first floor of the Courthouse. These services do not require an appointment but are typically only offered during business hours.

DCSO Administrative Offices are closed on weekends and all major holidays. Occasionally our hours may be adjusted due to severe weather such as snow or ice, or during times affected by City of Owensboro special events that affect downtown traffic routes and parking availability. We will post changes to our hours and closures on our Facebook page.

For Law Enforcement situations, the DCSO Patrol Division is open 24/7/365 and can be reached by calling 911 in an emergency or (270) 685-8444 for non-emergency situations. There may not always be a Patrol Deputy at the Daviess County Courthouse after hours, and the building will be closed to the public, so please call for service after hours.

Occasionally our hours may be adjusted due to special events hosted by the City of Owensboro that affect downtown traffic routes and parking availability. If you need to meet in person, it is best to call and make an appointment as our personnel are routinely out of the office and may not be immediately available.

Please note that due to space limitations and other considerations, the only court that occurs in the Daviess County Courthouse is the Daviess County Fiscal Court which convenes twice monthly in the Fiscal Court Chambers on the Second Floor. District and Circuit Courts as well as Family and Civil Courts are all located in the Judicial Center, also located in downtown Owensboro.
